Akademisk Boldklub A/S has agreed on a deal to send defender Pachanga Kristensen to Superliga team Sonderjyske for an undisclosed transfer fee and future considerations.
“Pachanga has been a pleasure to work with and we knew very early on that he wanted to move on this summer. I am very much looking forward to following his further development and to seeing the career that a young AB boy now has ahead of him. I wish him all the best,” said head coach Joey Gudjonsson.
Kristensen, 18, made 26 appearances for AB in the 2024/25 season. For his career at AB, he has appeared in a total of 39 games.
“Pachanga has been a player who has drawn a lot of interest ever since he made his debut, as evidenced by his trial this past January at Burnley.” said Sporting Director Jen Chang. “We have made attempts in the past year to extend his contract, but Pachanga wants to test himself at a higher level. So we acknowledge that and want to respect Pachanga’s wishes. He’s been a great player for us and we hope for his continued success in the Superliga.”
Kristensen started his youth career with the AB Academy before making his league debut for AB at age 16 in September 2023 vs Roskilde. He made 23 appearances for the AB academy U19 team.
“I’ve always dreamed of playing in the Super League. When the opportunity presented itself here at the club, I don’t think there was really much to think about. I just had to say yes,” said Kristensen.
