Akademisk Boldklub A/S sends striker Emil Mygind on a six-month loan stay with FA 2000, valid until December 2025.
– Emil is a top character in our dressing room, but we think it is a good idea for him to go on a short-term loan stay to get some more playing minutes.
“We feel that FA 2000 would be an ideal place for him to go, as we also have a good working relationship with their head coach, Semere Haile,” said head coach Joey Gudjonsson.
24-year-old Mygind has played six games throughout the 24/25 season. He has missed the majority of the 23/24 season while recovering from a cruciate ligament injury.
– Emil came to us at the end of the past season and asked if he could be rented out for the coming season, says sports director Jen Chang.
“We agree with him that it would be beneficial for his further recovery if he could get some regular playing time and build on his sharpness.
Mygind is a product of AB’s youth academy, and he has played 94 games for the first team with 17 goals as a result.
“I’ve had a good dialogue with Joey and the coaching staff about the advantage of getting out there and getting some playing time. Here, FA 2000 was a good opportunity to get a lot of minutes in my legs, which I can later build on in AB, says Emil Mygind about his upcoming loan stay.
AB says goodbye to Mikkel Nielsen
At the same time, Akademisk Boldklub A/S says goodbye to defender Mikkel Nielsen, whose contract expired on 20 June 2025.
– Mikkel has been a dedicated player throughout the season, and he has worked extremely hard in training. We wish him all the best, says head coach Joey Gudjonsson.
– We thank Mikkel for his efforts and hard work throughout the past season, and we wish him all the best with the next step in his career, says sports director Jen Chang.
